Today, Trump is visiting both Dayton, OH and El Paso, TX in the wake of the mass shootings there. He is being met with protests -- not only by politicians and elected officials -- but by everyday Americans who are fed up with his rhetoric.

I think Trump's visits are a mistake and I stand with these protestors who are holding strong for change and demanding that Trump and his GOP colleagues in the Senate take immediate action to prevent these tragedies from ever happening again.

Trump is incapable of showing the level of emotion that is needed to heal the country. Empty words will not stem the tide of violence ripping through our nation.
