The climate crisis and environmental injustices are urgent, impacting every facet of our economy and infrastructure. Transformational change isn’t optional; it’s absolutely essential to beat the 2030 deadline to avoid climate catastrophe.
Just take our Ambassador program. The 10 Ambassadors in our second cohort hosted presentations for students and community organizations, held town halls with elected officials, spoke directly to government agencies and legislators, and recruited nearly 150 volunteers to advocate for a youth-led climate board to give young people a voice in local decision-making in California’s Central Valley and Inland Empire.
Cohort 3 is one month into their campaign, with 12 more growing climate leaders. We’re excited to watch their journey to fight for community-led solutions to water and air quality issues in their communities!
It’s not just local; EnviroVoters Ed Fund’s impact is global.
We run a coalition of 140 organizations called Green California that hosts a Lobby Day in Sacramento every summer. That lobbying helped lead to the passage of transformational climate legislation, including the internationally groundbreaking corporate emissions disclosure law SB 253.
We’re in the midst of a turning point in our history, and the California Environmental Voters Education Fund is meeting the urgency of this moment.
In honor of Giving Tuesday tomorrow, please make a contribution to the Ed Fund’s efforts to create transformational change to solve the climate crisis and advance large-scale equity at the same time.
100% of your tax-deductible gift will be used to advance our comprehensive climate strategy by educating policymakers on the urgent need for strong climate action and building and organizing regional power in communities to center justice and create long-term transformation.
