John, tomorrow is
Giving Tuesday-but when it comes to Children's Hospital
Los Angeles, I simply can't wait. Not when thousands of kids will
be diagnosed with cancer this year. Not when this is the place
families turn to when other hospitals run out of answers. Not when the
next medical breakthrough could be right around the corner.

Because you're one of Children's Hospital Los Angeles' most
committed supporters, you can be one of the first to have your gift go
twice as far TODAY-it will still count toward the Children's
Fund Giving Tuesday goal!

Make an early Giving Tuesday donation of $10 or more right now to
renew your support while it will be MATCHED, up to $200,000. When you
give $35 or more to the Children's Fund now, you're providing a My Paw
In Yours Puppy to a child in the hospital to bring a smile to their
face!

John, it's not too
soon to give. In fact, it's the very best way you can help fierce kids
like Pierce.

When he was not quite 2 years old, Fierce Pierce earned his nickname
while battling acute myeloid leukemia. The medical team at the
Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at CHLA-the
largest pediatric hematology, oncology and blood and marrow transplant
program in the Western U.S.-sprang into action.

Pierce would spend 115 days at Children's Hospital Los Angeles,
making it like a second home. He had two rounds of chemotherapy and a
bone marrow transplant, went under anesthesia 15 times and underwent
31 platelet transfusions and 15 blood transfusions.

On Day 86 in Children's Hospital, a bone marrow donor was finally
identified nearly 6,000 miles away in France. The transplant took, and
Fierce Pierce lived up to his nickname. He was declared cancer-free.
When Pierce's mom carried him past the hospital's front doors after
finishing treatment, he looked up at the blue summer sky and said one
word: "Outside."

Your early-bird Giving Tuesday gift will be MATCHED for fierce kids
like Pierce.

John, this story
brings tears to my eyes each time I hear it. And there are SO many
others just like it. Chances are you or someone you know has been
helped by this great hospital. Children's Hospital Los Angeles
delivers care to 1 out of every 5 children in
Los Angeles-mine included.

Before my son, Calvin, became a Children's Hospital Los Angeles
patient, I never knew the magic that went on behind the hospital's
doors. And as soon as I told Calvin's story on air, I realized we were
far from alone. People reached out to tell me about the great care the
hospital gave to their child, from beating cancer to receiving a heart
transplant, to learning to walk again.

Will you claim your early-bird Giving Tuesday match and make more
stories like Calvin's and Pierce's possible? Every gift will go twice
as far today to help sick and injured children get access to the best
possible care at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
