Dear Press Freedom Supporter,
Tomorrow marks another #GivingTuesday. And we hope you will seize the moment to support a free press after another devastating year for journalists.
In the past year, CPJ has seen—and met—a more than 200% increase in demands for exile support as journalists are hounded from their homes for exposing corruption or speaking truth to power. We’ve seen the deadliest period ever experienced for journalists in a conflict. And we’ve stood alongside colleagues unfairly targeted for their work from the United States to the Philippines.

Now is the perfect time of year to join CPJ in demanding that journalists can do their jobs—safely and without the fear of reprisal.
Ahead of tomorrow, we hope you’ll share our inspiring video from last week’s International Press Freedom Awards, which serves as an important reminder: press freedom is our freedom.
We also hope you’ll consider becoming a monthly champion of the CPJ community with a recurring gift—helping CPJ plan for the future and keep journalists safe. Thank you for joining our cause.
Sincerely,
John D. Weis
