Hi Friend!

Each March, we run a contest to draw attention to a select few towns and

cities

who are saying no to the conventional development pattern that makes

communities

more fragile and financially weaker, and yes to the choices that will allow

them

to truly thrive, both now and into the future.

We call it the Strongest Town contest, and Round 1 is in full swing .

Sixteen communities are vying to be named this year’s Strongest Town. Four

matchups went live yesterday, and four more went up today. Already,

thousands of

votes have been cast.

But we’re asking you to weigh in too. You’ve been doing this same good work

in your own town or city, and we want the

Strongest Town contest to draw from that deep well of experience. Would you

cast

your vote to help determine which eight communities will move on to Round

2?

Voting is open for Round 1 through Thursday at 12 noon Central Time. You

can vote once per contest per day.

Below are the individual matchups, or you can read more about the contest

at .
