Don’t miss the chance to make a lasting impact on communities in search of justice.

friend,

Giving Tuesday is only two days away, but you can make a special gift today. It’s a perfect time to give because, thanks to a generous group of donors, every gift will be matched up to $1 million.

That means your donation will be doubled. This opportunity is only available through Tuesday, 11/28 at 11:59pm. Don’t miss the chance to make a lasting impact on our communities in search of justice.

Double your impact

As bias-motivated crimes and hateful legislation are on the rise, the fight for justice couldn’t be more important. The SPLC is the premiere organization working to dismantle white supremacy in the country across many fronts. Whether it’s fighting for justice in court, advocating for sensible policies at our nation’s capital or coalition-building in communities to promote diversity, equity and inclusion, we are committed to building a world where everyone can thrive.

In 2023, with the generous support of people like you, the SPLC has:

  • Filed a lawsuit with our partners against an anti-immigrant law in Florida. Also known as SB 1718, the law inhibits and intimidates immigrants seeking health care; prohibits local government funding of new community identification cards; and invalidates certain driver’s licenses from certain states.
  • Spoken out against the rising tide of hate crimes and the United States' long history of human rights abuses in Geneva for the United Nations Human Rights Committee reviewing U.S. compliance with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
  • Disbursed $5 million in voter mobilization grants to local organizations through our Vote Your Voice program.
  • Challenged the use of a redistricting map that denies equal representation to Black voters in Abbeville, Louisiana.
  • Successfully fought to preserve one of the first American towns incorporated by newly emancipated Black people in Eatonville, Florida, from a massive commercial redevelopment.
  • Supported a slate of voting rights bills at the federal level to reinstate the full powers of the Voting Rights Act of 1965; improve ballot access for people with disabilities and racial and language minorities; and protect the voting rights of unhoused citizens.
  • Trained 868 teachers online and 542 in-person about honest history and student inclusion through our Learning for Justice program.
  • Your commitment means we can have the resources necessary to keep winning legal battles, help pass legislation that will empower our communities and work with educators to teach honest history and empathy in the classroom. Join our movement today by making a special gift ahead of Giving Tuesday. Your contribution will be doubled, which means a $50 donation will amount to $100, $100 amounts to $200 and so on.

    Double your impact

Thank you for standing with us on this journey.

    Sincerely,

Your friends at the Southern Poverty Law Center
