My name is Troy Downing. I’m a husband, father, Combat Veteran, and proud conservative Patriot.
I officially announced my candidacy for Congress in Montana’s Second Congressional District. |
On September 11, 2001, America suffered the deadliest terror attack in our history. It was a day that changed the world, changed our nation, and will forever live in infamy. Like so many Americans, I was deeply affected by those events, which led me to make a decision that would change the course of my life.
In the wake of 9/11, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force/Air National Guard, answering the call to serve our country and fight for freedom.
For eight years, I proudly served in a USAF Combat Search and Rescue squadron, volunteering for two combat deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism.
I fought beside and witnessed the unwavering dedication of my brothers and sisters in arms - our brave servicemen and women who sacrificed so much for our freedoms. Service is not merely a job; it is a way of life. |
But times have changed, Patriot. Far too many politicians have forgotten what their actual job in Washington is: to SERVE.
I’m tired of watching politicians run for office to gain celebrity status, social media fame, book deals, and ego boosts. Too many politicians want to simply “be” in Congress, they have no interest in actually “doing” the work. I refuse to sit back and watch power-hungry Democrats collect a paycheck bigger than what most hard-working Americans will ever see.
Our nation deserves leaders who have walked the walk and who understand the sacrifices our veterans make every day to keep our nation free. Service is in my blood. That's why I am running to become Montana's next Congressman and asking you to become one of my campaign’s first official supporters. |
When I get to Washington, I will fight for policies that strengthen our national security, support our veterans, and promote economic prosperity for all. I will work to preserve the America we know and love, and I WILL get the job done for Americans across the country.
As a Combat Veteran, I’m not used to being in the position of asking for help. On the other hand, I’m not too proud to admit that I need it. Getting this campaign off the ground will require the financial support of American patriots from across our state and nation, and every single dollar will make a difference.
