Hey, it’s Betsy! I’m Katie Porter’s daughter (here we are in Kings Canyon
National Park this summer).

My mom is a great mom, and she works really hard at all of her many jobs.

I told her that in school we learned about “persuasive writing.” My mom
was saying that’s basically what these emails are. Trying to get you to
sign a petition, see an argument, or donate a few bucks.

So here are a few hopefully persuasive reasons why I think you should not
just vote for my mom if you’re in California, but give her a few dollars
if you can:

 1. My mom is the only one in this race not to EVER take corporate PAC
money
 2. She’s the only one in this race not taking money from federal
lobbyists 
 3. She know how to stand up to really powerful people and get stuff done
