As the weekend of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals draws to a close, I have to ask you to keep in mind Giving Tuesday in a couple of days, and consider donating to this campaign.

Every dollar counts for this grassroots campaign. Money is tight right now, as I know it is for many of my neighbors, but if you have a few extra dollars to spare that you want to put toward democracy, I encourage you to do so on Tuesday.

In an ideal world, every candidate would have the resources they need to make sure voters are informed and elections are fair. Several cities—including Los Angeles—run donation-matching programs to help level the playing field for grassroots candidates. We need publicly financed elections at the federal level, too.

In the meantime, we’re canvassing, paying staff, and funding mailers and get-out-the-vote ads with the 100% individual-given contributions we receive as a campaign. And we couldn’t thank you enough for it.

Over the past few months, we’ve surged into contention, garnering potentially the most individual donors of any candidate in this 21-person race, and contacting tens of thousands of voters.

We can get the job done and win in March—but we’ll need your support.

Let’s do this for our community—in Los Angeles/Glendale/Burbank/West Hollywood, and our wider community across the country.
