Friend, our slim odds of defending our Senate majority just got even slimmer: Joe Manchin, a longtime Senator for conservative West Virginia, has announced that he will not be running for reelection next year. 

Listen, we know that Manchin wasn't exactly the most progressive Democrat in the party – but at the very least, he was aligned with Senate Dems on the issues that matter most, such as getting the massive Inflation Reduction Act passed. 

Manchin's open seat now leaves a prime pickup opportunity for Republicans, who ONLY need to flip one seat next year to take back the Senate. 

Friend, if we don't put everything we have into stopping Mitch McConnell and his party from taking control, we WILL be fighting for our basic rights come 2025.
