Friends, I’ll get right to the point.

I’m reaching out to you directly this morning to humbly ask if you can contribute $3 to my re-election campaign today. Let me explain:

As you may already know, we don’t fund our campaigns for Congress the same as many of my colleagues in Washington.

Instead of relying on corporate PAC contributions or maxout checks from wealthy and powerful industry lobbyists, we count on LOTS of small-dollar, grassroots donations from supporters like you, from all walks of life and from all over the country.

Put simply, what that means is that I cannot do this alone. Each and every one of these contributions — whether they be $1, $100, or anything in between — are critically important to our campaign’s chances of success.

It also means from time to time, I have to ask.

If we’re going to have the resources required in 2024 to take on the right wing, the super PACs, and all the well-funded, well-connected special interests who want to see our progressive movement fail, it’s going to take ALL of us.

So please. I’m asking:

Can you make your first contribution — of $3 or any amount that makes sense for you — to stand with our campaign today? I would not be asking if your support was not so important to our fight.
