Three-in-ten U.S. adults say they have used a dating site or app. A majority of online daters say their overall experience was positive, but many users – particularly younger women – report being harassed or sent sexually explicit messages they did not ask for on these platforms.
About half the experts we canvassed predict humans’ use of technology will weaken democracy by 2030, while a third expect technology will strengthen it as reformers fight back against democracy’s foes.
From our research60% of U.S. adults believe scientists should take an active role in policy debates about scientific issues, while about 39% say scientists should focus on establishing sound scientific facts and stay out of such debates. | |
