Earlier this year, Bethany went door-to-door handing out Narcan – an emergency opioid antidote. 

In less than an hour, she had handed out 200 doses. 

Community members she spoke to learned the importance of having such an important tool on hand in case a friend, neighbor, or family member was experiencing an emergency.

John, this initiative is part of the Behavioral Health Consortium. In collaboration with community advocates, healthcare professionals, state leaders and more, Bethany spearheaded its creation in order to directly address the issues facing every community in Delaware. 

As Governor, she’ll keep bringing people together to create innovative solutions, including working in communities on the ground to ensure that no one ever has to struggle in silence.
