Hello --

March marks seven years since the Violence Against Women Act was reauthorized.

This landmark, bipartisan bill has ensured women, men, and children across the nation have access to shelters, hotlines, advocates, and prevention programs to keep them safe from domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Unfortunately, for nearly a year, Republicans in the Senate have refused to pass a reauthorization bill -- putting the NRA ahead of survivors. It's on us to take action.

Tell Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republican leaders: "Reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act now." Add your name.

Last year, Democrats in the House put forward a reauthorization bill that would update and strengthen protections for Native and transgender survivors and empower law enforcement to strip dangerous abusers of guns.

The bill passed easily in the House, but the Republican majority in the Senate bowed to NRA pressure and stalled the bill.

Meanwhile, lives are at stake.

It's time to build pressure to finally reauthorize this critical bill. Add your name now.
