Earlier this month I was proud to host a Reproductive Rights Tele-Town Hall with Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris.
During our virtual town hall where we took calls from participants, I made it clear that we must keep CA-47 blue to enact federal protections for reproductive rights. This is one of my top priorities.
Choice is not merely a “woman’s issue.” Reproductive rights and abortion access affect us all -- they are economic and equity imperatives.
I am concerned with the onslaught of attacks on reproductive rights by the Republican Party. Our GOP opponent, Scott Baugh, supports a nationwide abortion ban, with no exceptions.
The new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson feels similarly. With the far-right reaches of the GOP prioritizing stripping reproductive freedoms away from all Americans, it is more important than ever to win the House majority and stop this madness in its tracks.
