Hi Jack,

I hope you had a chance to spend time with loved ones this week. I was grateful to have Thanksgiving dinner with one branch of my family tree - from the oldest (my grandmom) to the youngest (my son). As I reflect on how much gratitude we have for so many blessings in our lives, it is not lost on me how much unrest and loss abounds all over the world, as it did during the times that gave rise to this holiday. My hope is to remain a measured, thoughtful decision maker in the areas where I can represent our collective voice.

I hope you will continue to help me do that with your input, feedback, and honest discourse. As we head into December, Caleigh (who is moving from being my Campaign Manager to serving as my Chief of Staff), is working on our legislative program. If there are legislative needs you see that we may not have on our radar, please let us know.

I will go to Richmond in January for the session. My ceremonial oath of office will take place on January 13, 2023. I would be pleased to send you an invitation to the event if you would like to make a day trip, or a link to watch it live. If you are interested, please let me know!
