In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, we wanted to share a piece of news we’re grateful for:
With funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of 2021, the EPA is launching the Get the Lead Out Initiative, a new program that will assist 200 disadvantaged communities in identifying and replacing toxic lead service pipes.
Because lead pipes are commonly found in the pipes of older homes, the families most affected by lead exposure are often those who also have the fewest resources to have them removed.
John, this program is going to help thousands of families across the U.S. enjoy healthier lives free from the harms caused by lead exposure, and it would not have been possible without our SEEC Members who fought to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can click here to only get our most important messages, or you can unsubscribe.
