Last week, I delivered a speech at the United Nations on human rights.

What I shared at the Transatlantic Summit 2023 in New York is weighing heavily on me: every year, globally, 73 million children are killed by abortion.

73 million children are brutally dismembered, poisoned, decapitated, and starved to death in the womb, every year.

In World War II, the total number of casualties in World War II, civilian and combatant, was 70 million people. With global abortion, it’s as though World War II is happening again every single year, with all the victims being civilians - children.

This isn’t just another issue - this is a calamity that demands our response.

Abortion is, by far, the worst human rights crisis of the last half-century, one that is ongoing, and one that few today even acknowledge.

John, the womb, which should be a safe haven, a place of nourishment and love, has become a warzone.

The killing of children has been masked with euphemisms, like “reproductive healthcare,” “women’s rights,” and “bodily autonomy,” to cloak the horrific reality.

Even the word “abortion” sanitizes a brutal, unnatural act that kills a human being.

We must expose the lies that surround abortion: Healthcare does not include the right to harm a child. Women’s rights do not include the right to kill a little girl in the womb. The “right to choose” does not include the right to “choose” to murder a child.

It’s because preborn children cannot speak that the born - the powerful - have succeeded in trampling on their rights.

John, abortion is the leading cause of death globally, and it deprives its totally innocent victims of their first human right - LIFE.

The worst days of the Nazi Holocaust saw 14,000 killed a day. We are killing over 200,000 daily through abortion.

The murder of one individual is a tragedy, a terrible injustice, but the murder of millions is not a mere statistic. It is a million-fold calamity, a crisis, that calls us to urgent action.
