Dear OCCRP Reader,
There are likely fewer than 10,000 investigative journalists working full-time in the world today.
OCCRP is one of the only organizations fighting this existential threat to democracy on a global level by training the next generation of journalists and funding their investigations.
Wherever we investigate, we dedicate resources towards identifying and training local reporters — people who speak the language, know the political landscape, and understand the rot of corruption we wish to expose.
We do this because we don’t believe in “parachute journalism.” We’re committed to giving every journalist, regardless of where they’re from, access to the same cybersecurity, open-source-research, and data trainings as their counterparts in New York, London, Paris, or Sydney.
Your help is critical here. With your support, we can foster a culture of hard-hitting investigative journalism everywhere. Together, we can ensure that investigative journalists everywhere have the funding they need.
