Here’s the problem: many of the largest corporations on the planet are fighting against improvements to the EPA’s emissions standards. They are pulling out all the stops, lobbying the Biden administration and Congress to maintain the status quo or go much too slow.

This pollution harms everyone, especially communities living near highways, ports, freight hubs, and anywhere with lots of traffic. Low-wealth communities and communities of color are often hit hardest. By strengthening emissions standards, the EPA would protect us from tailpipe emissions while accelerating clean vehicle adoption and other clean energy investments.

The Biden administration can and must go further and faster to address the urgent public health and climate crises. To do that, the EPA must adopt the strongest possible standards that get us close to 100% clean vehicles sold by 2035.
