Rep. Andy Kim newsletter banner image

Greetings,

We hope you have had a great week and a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family! This week in New Jersey, Congressman Kim continued his work supporting our military community, demanding common sense gun violence prevention legislation and expanded access to healthcare and childcare, and more. As we finish celebrating Thanksgiving and near the end of November already, we are so grateful every day for the chance to serve our communities!

As always, we hope you find these updates and resources helpful.

Don’t Miss Small Business Saturday!

Small Business Saturday is an incredible chance to show our love for the local small businesses who make our communities special! We hope neighbors will join us in celebrating and visiting local shops and stores tomorrow.

The spirit of so many downtowns and the backbone of local economies, Congressman Kim is proud to be there for our small businesses. From increasing access to capital and supporting minority, women, and veteran-owned business owners, to uplifting entrepreneurs and cutting through red tape, we will always continue to build on this commitment for our communities.

Congressman Kim’s Statement on the Announced Deal in the Conflict Between Israel and Hamas

The Congressman’s statement:

“This deal represents the breakthrough many of us wanted to see — a mutually agreed upon halt to the fighting that will free many hostages, surge humanitarian support, and save countless lives. It is not the full measure needed but it represents real progress and shows the vital need for diplomacy in this difficult moment. I call on all sides to abide fully in this deal and use its success to keep negotiations moving that would pave the way for every hostage to be freed, meet conditions for the security of Israel and the protection of civilians, and bring about a mutually-agreed upon ceasefire. We must acknowledge that no ceasefire is equal to the certainty of a durable peace that the Israeli and Palestinian people deserve. This durable peace often feels so distant and unattainable, but its pursuit must remain a necessity because the children enduring this violence should not have to grow up in an endless cycle without hope.”

Congressman Kim Meets with Veteran-Owned Small Business

This week, Congressman Kim spoke with NJF Worldwide, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, about their local manufacturing work to supply medical and safety equipment.

In Congress, he works to strengthen global supply chains, boost local manufacturing and look after local manufacturers, and expand direct assistance that help veteran entrepreneurs succeed.
