This year, we successfully fought to protect the right to vote from a
barrage of anti-democratic laws and policies across the South. Our
work defending the rights of people in state custody has ended the
cruel treatment of children in Louisiana and Florida - some as
young as 6 years old. In Georgia and Alabama, we're challenging
anti-LGBTQ+ policies aimed at the health and well-being of transgender
young people. We're also fighting back against a hateful wave of
classroom censorship laws that silence the teaching of honest and
accurate history. And, as always, we are fighting hate and extremism
in the courts and in our communities.
