Coronavirus aka COVID-19 Update
Much of our work requires us to be in the community and exposed to the public. There is no need to panic. We are monitoring this situation closely and will be moving our conference to an entirely digital format if the University of Georgia closes the campus before our convention. - If you are feeling unwell, have a compromised immune system, or spend time with people who feel sick or have compromised immune systems, please stay home and avoid public events and spaces.
- Please wash your hands with soap and warm water often, cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, ideally with a tissue you then throw in the trash.
- Maintain a minimum of 6 feet between you and other people whenever possible
- Disinfect surfaces with EPA-registered household disinfectants.
Symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Symptoms generally occur 2-14 days after exposure and are typically more severe and complicated in people with compromised immune systems and those over 50 years old.
