Birds are in a code-red crisis. And if there was ever a moment to come together to help save them, it’s right now during our Giving Tuesday Challenge.

Give Monthly ([link removed])

It’s not just the Scarlet Tanager who is on the precipice of extinction—nearly 400 species are on the brink. Beloved birds like the Piping Plover, Rufous Hummingbird, and Allen’s Hummingbird are just a few of the birds struggling to survive in our warming climate.

That’s why there isn’t a moment to waste. Thanks to generous supporters we have the opportunity to unlock an additional $200,000 for birds in need if we hit our goal of 1,000 new monthly gifts by Giving Tuesday. But we still need 140 before midnight to stay on track. Can we count on you to make a gift in honor of Giving Tuesday? ([link removed])

Giving Challenge Kick-Off: You can help unlock $200,000 for birds. ([link removed])

We’re launching our Giving Tuesday Challenge right now and you can help us unlock $200,000 for birds in need.

This opportunity couldn’t come at a more critical time: 3 billion birds have unfortunately been wiped off the face of the planet in just the past 50 years. And with two-thirds of North American birds facing extinction, we must act now to turn things around for the birds we love.

It’s a code-red emergency and for birds like the Scarlet Tanager—who has lost 14% of its total population in the past half century—there is no time to waste. In honor of Giving Tuesday we have the opportunity to unlock an extra $200,000 in critical funding for birds if we hit our goal of 1,000 new monthly donors. We need 140 new monthly donors before midnight tonight to start this challenge strong. Can we count on your help? ([link removed])

[It's a code red for birds.] ([link removed])

There are nearly 400 birds on the brink. Species like the Scarlet Tanager, Piping Plover, Rufous Hummingbird, and Allen’s Hummingbird are all at an increasing risk of extinction due to climate change. The Scarlet Tanager in particular is on track to lose a staggering 68% of their range across the United States in a three degree warming scenario.

But, with the support of dedicated bird lovers like you, Audubon is working tirelessly to combat climate change by championing clean energy solutions, advocating for reduced carbon emissions, helping to maintain healthy forests and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.

We’re in a code-red emergency for birds.

We’re committed to using our more than a century of expertise and advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels, along with on-the-ground conservation to safeguard birds and their habitats. But they're up against unprecedented challenges and we need all devoted bird champions to join with us in their protection.

We have a limited time opportunity to unlock an additional $200,000 for birds with our Giving Challenge—but only if we get 1,000 new monthly donors by Giving Tuesday. Be one of 140 monthly donors needed before midnight tonight, and keep us on track to hit our goal. Can we count on your help to unlock this additional support for vulnerable birds like the Scarlet Tanager? ([link removed])

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society
