Hi John, it's Kendra Brooks and Nicolas O’Rourke.
As we look back on a whirlwind of an election cycle, we just wanted to reach out and thank you personally.
Earlier this month, we made history (again) in Philadelphia — and together, we left the Republican Party in the dustbin of history in one of the biggest cities in the country.
It brings both of us tremendous pride to be able to do the people's work, continue our fight for a city that invests in communities, and boldly represent Philadelphia’s working families on the City Council next year.
Against all odds, but with hard work and principled organizing, the future of Philadelphia just got a little brighter — and we truly couldn't have made it here without your dedicated support.
When the haters and cynics tried to brush us off and when the dinosaurs let out their tiny roars, we let them know that we would not be intimidated.
You stood with us and our vision for a city with fully-funded public schools, safe neighborhoods, affordable housing, and real opportunity for all — and we'll always be grateful.
But we're just getting started, John. It's our mission to keep growing this movement for cities that work for all of us in the next four years and beyond. The best is yet to come.
Philadelphia is now a two-party town: Democrats and the Working Families Party.
Thank you again for everything,
Kendra Brooks and Nicolas O’Rourke
