Trump posts deranged Thanksgiving message to "Lunatics, Fascists and RINOs"
Right on cue, the serially indicted ex-president thumb-smashed an endearing Thanksgiving Day message at the very reasonable hour of 2:00am that will definitely age as well as him. The barely coherent Truth Social screed read "Happy Thanksgiving to ALL" and was addressed to New York Attorney General Letitia "Peekaboo" James, "Radical Left Trump Hating Judge, a 'Psycho,' Arthur Engoron," President Joe Biden, and "all of the other Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Fascists, Marxists, Democrats, & RINOS, who are seriously looking to DESTROY OUR COUNTRY." Folks, we're *almost* gonna miss him when he's gone. Almost. [RETWEET THAT!]

Israel and Hamas begin cease-fire, setting stage for release of some hostages and more aid to Gaza
A critical four-day cease-fire between Israel and Hamas began Friday, allowing sorely needed aid to start flowing into Gaza and setting the stage for the release of dozens of hostages held by Hamas militants since the October 7 terror attacks and Palestinians imprisoned by Israel. The truce raised hopes of eventually winding down the conflict, which has flattened vast swaths of Gaza, fueled a surge of violence in the occupied West Bank, and stirred fears of a wider conflagration across the Middle East. Israel, however, has said it is determined to resume its massive offensive once the cease-fire ends.

Corporate jagoffs have no place in Congress
Chris Deluzio for Congress: Chris is running for reelection in one of the most competitive districts in the nation. His GOP extremist opponents have sided with corporate jagoffs over the American people. We can't let them win. Will you chip in today to flip the House blue and get America back on track?
House Speaker Mike Johnson spent years forcing Christian teachings into public schools
Before joining Congress and stumbling into the House speakership, radical right-wing Rep. Mike Johnson spent years fighting to force Christian speech and activities into public elementary schools and universities, taking up lawsuit after lawsuit aimed at chipping away at the separation of church and state. In one such case, a set of Jewish parents sued the school their children were attending after learning it was holding prayer sessions, teaching Christian songs in class, and letting other classmates bully and ridicule their kids for not taking part in the indoctrination actitivies. Johnson spoke about the lawsuit at his church at the time, warning the congregation what was at stake. "The ultimate goal of the enemy is silencing the gospel. This is spiritual warfare." Nice of Mike to not mess around with a dog whistle and get straight to hatin', we guess.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams accused of sexually assaulting a colleague two days before the expiration of the New York Adult Survivors Act
The hits keep coming for embattled New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who has now been accused of sexually assaulting a woman who worked with him in 1993. The woman, who said she experienced sexual assault, battery, employment gender discrimination, retaliation, a hostile work environment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, is seeking at least $5 million in damages. A City Hall spokesperson rejected the allegations, saying Adams — who has been hounded by an ongoing FBI investigation into his 2021 campaign's sketchy fundraising activities — does not recall meeting the accuser.

New book divulges Donald Trump's "colorful language" about evangelicals
In his upcoming book, The Kingdom, The Power, And The Glory: American Evangelicals In An Age Of Extremism, The Atlantic's Tim Alberta shares some very interesting, albeit not terribly surprising, anecdotes highlighting the disgraced ex-president's disdain for evangelical Christians. In 2016, Trump was sent "into a spiral" and speculated "there was a conspiracy among powerful evangelicals to deny him the GOP nomination" after he drew ridicule for flubbing what he claimed was his favorite Bible verse. "You know, these so-called Christians hanging around with Ted [Cruz] are some real pieces of shit," Trump said. Wait till Mike Johnson hears about this guy!
Exposure to widely used insecticides decreases sperm concentration, study finds
Exposure to several widely used insecticides probably decreases sperm concentration and may have profound effects on male fertility, according to researchers at George Mason University. The findings come amid growing concern over global declines in sperm concentration and quality. Recent research estimated sperm concentration has plummeted by about 50% over the last 50 years, and researchers now believe insecticides could be a key culprit. Let's definitely do nothing with this incredibly troubling report and let the multibillion-dollar chemical industry continue to run amok across our one and only planet. Next!

US coal plants killed an estimated 460,000 people between 1999 and 2020
Research published Thursday in the journal Science estimates that pollution from coal-fired power plants killed roughly 460,000 people in the United States between 1999 and 2020, making it more than twice as deadly as other kinds of fine particulate emissions. After calculating annual exposure to fine particulates — known as PM2.5 — from 480 coal plants and examining Medicare death records, the researchers found that between 420,000 to 500,000 excess deaths in the US over the past two decades were attributable to coal pollution.
