Friend,
Right now, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams are caring for people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, and climate disasters in more than 70 countries around the world.
Record emergencies this year have meant that a record number of people need lifesaving care. Friend, our response to these disasters has been possible only because of the generosity of supporters like you. MSF is providing aid where it’s needed most, but a greater humanitarian response is urgently needed as refugees face dangerous health conditions, survivors of war recover from injuries, and forcibly displaced people rebuild their lives.
Right now, 200,000 Sudanese refugees who have been forced to flee to camps in Adré, eastern Chad, are facing water shortages and alarming sanitation conditions. Adequate safe water and health care is critical to preventing large-scale outbreaks of waterborne or other infectious diseases, especially in such a densely populated and under-supported refugee setting. MSF is responding by providing critical medical care and water needs, but if there is not a dramatic increase in aid, there could be catastrophic consequences. That’s why we’re counting on the support of our donor community.
Friend, your donation is not just a gift—it's a lifeline to those in need. With your support, we can provide crucial lifesaving medical care to families who rely on us to survive.
