Greetings!

This week, we caught up with Donna King, editor-in-chief of the Carolina Journal.

In all our discussions on policy, we presuppose that policymakers and the general public have access to accurate information from which to make a decision. But that is only something we can assume if we have a free press providing honest journalism and precise data.

Donna explores some of the most critical elements of a free press and how the Carolina Journal can stay independent and trustworthy in its delivery of statewide government news.

Next week, we travel to Chicago for a couple of weeks of Deep Dish Policy!

We'll meet Austin Berg, author of "The New Chicago Way," a warning to local governments across the nation to take the potential for municipal corruption seriously and how they can guard against it.

I hope that you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!

Best,
