On behalf of our staff and volunteers, I wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving full of God's blessings and the plentiful bounty that this beautiful country offers. Let us forever remember that on October 3, 1789, George Washington declared Thursday, November 26, 1789, as a day of thanks. According to the Mount Vernon association, "In his declaration, Washington declared that the necessity for such a day sprung from the Almighty's care of Americans prior to the Revolution, assistance to them in achieving independence, and help in establishing the constitutional government." Such a good reminder as to why we give of our time, talents and treasure to the Republican Party, our candidates and platform. As we move into the busy Primary season, let us remember to always be thankful for our Representative Republic and I thank you for all that you do to protect this great country, State of Texas and Bexar County.
