Friend,

It started in 2008, while serving in Afghanistan, when a roadside bomb
detonated under the gas tank of my vehicle.

I was certain my time on this earth was over.

Until I faintly heard the words “I’ve got you” from my fellow soldier as the
flames on my body were extinguished.

That experience taught me this: Service to the American people is the greatest
honor imaginable.

But it didn’t take a near-death experience for me to know with every fiber of
my being that serving this country was all in accordance with God’s plan for me.

That’s why I’m counting on your help in my campaign for U.S. Senate.
