This past Saturday, a racist shooter in El Paso killed 22 people and injured 25 more. On Sunday, a shooting in Dayton killed at least 9 and injured 27 others.

And every day, 100 Americans are killed with a gun.

Fighting gun violence takes real action and effort. We can't afford to wait a day longer.

In February, the House passed a bipartisan background check bill. This legislation will save lives -- and we need Mitch McConnell to bring the bill to the floor of the Senate immediately.

After every mass shooting, Trump and the Republican Party offer their empty thoughts and prayers.

Because of their deep ties to the NRA, they blame video games and lack of school prayer as reasons for this epidemic.

Except, mass shootings are a distinctly American problem. And while nearly every developed nation has access to video games, only we see our communities regularly ravished by gun violence.

Enough excuses. Enough lies. We need to address this problem, and we need to do it fast.
