Representing our community in Congress is the greatest honor of my life, and it wouldn’t be possible without incredible grassroots supporters like you.

Whether you’ve cast a ballot for me, donated to our campaign, knocked on doors, shared our message with friends and family, or simply stayed informed about what I’m up to in Congress, your contribution in this fight matters a lot, friend — to our nation and to me personally.

I truly never thought I’d have the opportunity to serve in Congress. As you probably know, my story is pretty unusual in politics. I faced a lot of adversity growing up with a family impacted by addiction and started cleaning houses at age 12, working every low-wage job to make ends meet and put myself through college.

To have the opportunity now to make a difference for families who face their own adversity is something I wake up grateful for every day — and I’m only here because of the incredible grassroots team who helped me get here.

So I hope you enjoy this holiday with friends, family, and loved ones. And if it’s a tough day for you, as it is for lots of people, please know that you’re not alone, and I hope you spend your day in ways that bring you peace and happiness.
