Dear John,
If you are reading this in the United States, you may soon be sitting down to a hearty Thanksgiving meal — perhaps with just two people, maybe with 20 people...or more! Wherever you are, please know that we send our gratitude to you for all that you help WOLA accomplish.
As you know, WOLA is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. What began as a movement galvanized by the Chilean coup of 1973, has now become a thriving organization, a trusted voice in Washington, D.C., and an authority on Latin America worldwide. But at our core, we remain a community of committed and passionate individuals — made possible by the trust and investment of human rights advocates like you. During this season of gratitude I want to extend my most heartfelt THANK YOU!
As I think about what is to come, I am encouraged by the steadfast support of our generous network. Advocacy work must be done in the community. And alongside our regional partners, I am grateful WOLA can count you as part of that community.
In 2024 I hope to see you – either in person or virtually – at a WOLA event to celebrate 50 years of work together.
