This Thanksgiving, we want to thank you for your support, generosity, and dedication to children and youth. At Children’s Defense Fund (CDF), we know we cannot do this work without you, and we are grateful to have you on our side.

We also want to remind you that there are only a few days left in the Make a Difference Challenge—our goal of reaching 100 gifts of any size by midnight on Giving Tuesday next week. If you haven’t already made a gift, will you join in today?

Every gift, of any size, counts toward the goal—and more importantly, will help launch a strong new year of:

Advancing education. Over the 30 years of our successful CDF Freedom Schools® program, nearly 210,000 young scholars have benefited. In 2024, we’ll continue working to expand the CDF Freedom Schools program to more states.

Fighting for child well-being. In the coming year, we’ll continue to advocate for the expansion of the Child Tax Credit, expansion of broadband internet in rural communities, and an end to book bans around the country.

Protecting children’s lives. Gun violence in our country has reached epidemic proportions—and so has the denial and indifference of many lawmakers who could help stop it. In 2024, we’ll continue to call for greater gun safety.

However you celebrate the holidays, we hope you know how much your support means to everyone at Children’s Defense Fund—this Thanksgiving and every day. Thank you for being a champion for children and youth!
