Happy Thanksgiving, John!
From the bottom of my heart, I am so thankful for every single person reading this message.
You all – my supporters, friends, and fellow Vermonters – helped us make history last year, then turned around and supported me every step of the way during my first year in Congress. The phrase “it takes a village” has a whole new meaning behind it now. You are the beating heart of this movement, and your support means everything to me. Thank you.
And of course, above all, I’m thankful for my family: My parents, my siblings and extended family members. I am endlessly grateful to my spouse, Elizabeth, and to our two kids, who have all made great sacrifices to get me to this place. One thousand thank yous will never be enough.
As you prepare to gather around the Thanksgiving table, please know that I am incredibly thankful for you, for the community we’ve built, and for all of the exciting things ahead.
And to anyone spending the holiday working — whether it be at a hospital, retirement home, grocery store or other essential service, I am thinking of you today and am endlessly grateful for your sacrifice.
Happy Thanksgiving!
