Dear John,
Like everyone else, I’m thinking about how much I have to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.
Every time I speak to an audience on the campaign trail, I'm aware I’m doing something I would not be allowed to do everywhere. In fact, given how much criticism I sometimes lob at establishment political forces, in some countries my doing even a fraction of that could get me tortured or even killed. I think of that this Thanksgiving. Running for President makes me deeply grateful for this country.
Secondly, this year I’m grateful for the incredible members of Team Marianne, both staff and volunteers, who are working so hard to get our message out there. And they’re succeeding! My deepest thanks and kudos. I am deeply grateful for their support.
As some of you might know, my daughter and son-in-law made me a grandmother this year! Six-month-old little Elizabeth is the light of all our lives, and I delight at every picture, every video, every FaceTime. She is magnificent, as is every baby. I am deeply grateful for the miracle she is.
And lastly, I am grateful for you. I'm having the experience of a lifetime running for President, and it would not be happening without your support. I wish for you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving holiday in which your hearts are deeply touched by all the beauty in this life.
Thank you for what you have done for me. May the blessings you have sent my way be returned to you a thousandfold.
With love and gratitude,
