Reader,
Organized crime does not stand still; on the contrary, it always seems to be one step ahead. It is our job to close that gap, and to analyze and write about every facet of organized crime in the Americas. At the moment we are looking at criminal organizations that are once again expanding synthetic drug and cocaine markets; how the battles once fought by monolithic cartel-like organizations are now more characterized by strategic, often cross-border, criminal alliances; and we are focused on criminal and political elites as we look at international efforts to curb corruption and criminality.
InSight Crime produces news, analysis, investigations, and reports to inform and enrich the debate and address the main threats to citizen security in Latin America and the Caribbean.
