In the past week, communities in Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton have been shaken by deadly shootings.

It's time we take immediate action. I joined my Democratic colleagues in introducing a bill to ban assault weapons -- the kind used in the three recent tragedies -- over 6 months ago, but our work has been blocked by Trump, Mitch McConnell and the NRA.

Our country cannot wait any longer for relief from this constant threat to our communities. We must honor those lost to this senseless violence with action. Will you add your name to tell McConnell and Trump to pass an assault weapons ban right away?

There's no two ways about it: Gun violence is a public health epidemic. It's past time our Republican elected leaders start treating it with the urgency it deserves.

Every day Americans nationwide are affected by gun violence, yet no real action has been taken to stop more tragedies from happening.

We must demand action from Trump and McConnell immediately. If you're standing with me, sign on right away.

None of us can afford to sit out now. Thanks for stepping up.

Debbie
