Standing for Religious Liberty
I’m proud to have taken a stand for religious liberty by supporting those acquitted in this case in Finland that gained international concern. Read more here.
Mayorkas REFUSED to Answer Questions Related to Border Security
Last week in a Homeland Security hearing, I asked Secretary Mayorkas to provide the numbers coming across our border that he considered a “bad day.” Mayorkas refused to answer me. We must secure our border and hold those accountable who are allowing these actions to continue. Watch my exchange here:
Visiting with a Mississippi Hero
I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to meet with Preston Crotwell when he visited my office in D.C. His bravery at the Mississippi Mudbug Festival shooting last April was rewarded with the EMS Stars of Life award. This award is a high honor for those who have exceptional front-line care in some of life’s most difficult tragedies. Thank you, Preston, for your bravery and leadership.
Continuing to Fight for Securing our Border
Recently, I joined a letter to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg asking him how many airports have been used for sheltering illegal immigrants and whether the Department of Homeland Security consulted with the Federal Aviation Administration about using airports as shelters. This is just another glaring example of why the Southern Border must be secured.
Spending Time in Starkville
It was a great day this past Saturday for family and football. Haley and I always look forward to our time in Starkville.
Giving Thanks
This week as we celebrate Thanksgiving, there is much for which to be thankful. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Third District of Mississippi in Washington, D.C., and thankful for all the fellow Mississippians I meet with my job. Thank you, Mississippi, for allowing me to serve. From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.
Coming to Your Area Soon
My staff is planning to host upcoming Constituent Services Days throughout the district. Check and see if they are coming to a location near you.
