Applications for University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) campuses are due next week on November 30. Make sure to submit yours by the deadline! ** Immigrants Rising selected as Truist Foundation Inspire Awards Finalist ([link removed])

The Truist Foundation named Immigrants Rising as one of the Truist Foundation Inspire Awards finalists on October 17. Check out the other finalists of the Inspire Awards here ([link removed]) .

** Immigrants Rising joins Home is Here coalition ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

Last week, Immigrants Rising, along with more than 50 immigrant rights organizations, joined Home Is Here to launch the coalition for the next defense of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and all undocumented immigrants. The Home Is Here coalition played a pivotal role in safeguarding the DACA program at the Supreme Court in 2020. See their latest recap ([link removed]) of coming together in Houston.

We’ve created the following YouTube playlists for educators supporting undocumented students in California!
* Promising Practices Roundtable (Recordings) ([link removed]) : Gain new strategies and access helpful resources to better guide undocumented students through higher education.
* Supporting CA Undocumented Students ([link removed]) : Watch these webinars to expand your knowledge in topics relevant to undocumented students.
* Going to College in CA as an Undocumented Student ([link removed]) : Share these videos with your students in your classrooms and on social media.


** EdX Scholarship

EdX is providing one year scholarships to individuals who participate in a 5-minute anonymous survey ([link removed]) on education access created by the UC Berkeley Behavioral Economics Association (BEA). ** Undocumented literary magazine now accepting submissions

UC Berkeley’s first undocumented student-run literary magazine is now accepting submissions to publish artworks and writings by undocumented or formerly undocumented individuals, allies, and people from mixed-status families.
