John, I wanted to send you a note from the Fairfax neighborhood (28th year of delivering Thanksgiving meals to homebound seniors through Jewish Family Service, this year with my son-in-law Matt, and joined here by my close friend and longtime JFS volunteer Karl) to wish you a happy, meaningful, and restful Thanksgiving with family and friends!
The last few weeks have been some of the most tumultuous and challenging in recent memory. Yet, I am grateful to you and many others for demonstrating kindness, generosity, and resilience in the face of everything we confront. I’ve been humbled by the experience of traveling across California’s 30th District and talking with people from all walks of life about their hopes for the future. I’ve been inspired by the organizers and volunteers I’ve met, who are working to make the change we need by tackling issues from housing insecurity to gun violence to the climate crisis. And I’ve been energized by everyone who has joined our campaign team. Whether you’ve donated, volunteered, or simply opened this email, I sincerely thank you for your time and support.
