If politics comes up at the Thanksgiving dinner table, consider mentioning this...
Dan Pfeiffer, President Obama's Communications Director and Pod Save America co-host, called our new polling "a real formula and roadmap for Democrats to adopt going forward which I think can be very, very, very useful."
With our friends at Data For Progress, we spent months diagnosing why Democrats are losing to Republicans when voters are asked who they trust on the economy -- and we discovered several solutions.
As reported by Politico, we presented these findings to the White House, Senate and House leadership, and political operatives around Washington DC. Some data is below.
Point #1: Democratic economic policy is popular, but voters aren't hearing it. We need new strategies to break through.
Point #2: We can't be high volume on everything. But if voters hear even just 3 of our most popular issues, we win on the economy.
Point #3: Trump has neutralized our advantage one of of our best issues -- Social Security. But, by picking a fight on taxing billionaires to protect (and expand) Social Security benefits, we can regain an advantage.

And be sure to spread this gospel at the Thanksgiving table if the conversation turns to politics! (Does your Trump-loving uncle want to cut Social Security to cut taxes on billionaires? Or would they rather increase taxes on billionaires to protect and expand Social Security? Find out!)
Thanks for being a bold progressive.
