Friend,
The high price of prescription drugs is something almost all families struggle with, and my family is no different. I used to watch my grandmother cut her pills in half because her prescription was so expensive. I remember being frustrated at her refusal to listen to her doctor or to me.
This issue doesn’t just affect the elderly. Just last week I heard about a 24-year-old Alaskan, who is no longer alive because they could not afford their inhalers. Our people are suffering and our leaders are talking politics instead of solutions.
Big Pharma profits are skyrocketing, and working families are paying the price. I’m not taking any money from corporate PACs, including Big Pharma, because I won’t allow my votes to be compromised.
Unfortunately, after 47 years in Washington, Don Young is more concerned about the corporations who back him than fixing healthcare for the folks here at home. This year, he even voted against a bill that would lower prescription drug costs.
Alaskans only have one seat in the House of Representatives, and we need someone there to make it count. I will work every day to be a voice for all Alaskans, sharing our stories in the halls of power.
If you share my vision, I hope you’ll consider pitching in to our campaign for change. Even $1 shows me you are with me in this fight. [link removed]
Let’s do this, together.
