On Thursday, in a 5-4 vote along party lines, the Supreme Court ruled to allow partisan gerrymandering.

That decision will affect our democracy for decades to come. It also makes this end-of-quarter deadline that much more important.

Here’s why:

While the Supreme Court is stacked with ultra-conservative justices appointed by Trump, there is still a way that we can fight back and preserve our democracy: Congress can pass election reform bills, like the For the People Act of 2019, to stop partisan gerrymandering.

We need to protect and grow the Democratic House majority to keep pushing this kind of legislation forward, and that starts with investing early in Democratic House races.
