Many children go through a phase of struggling with their behavior. This is particularly true for those with developmental, emotional or learning challenges, who may have trouble following instructions, reining in impulsivity, or handling frustration or disappointment. At the same time parents and teachers may be unsure of how to respond to children who pose discipline problems.

This week on childmind.org we are featuring our comprehensive Parents Guide to Problem Behavior. It covers everything from what may be triggering kids to act out to how to improve the parent-child relationship once it has become strained. It offers strategies for successfully managing kids’ behavior both at home and at school, and how to get professional help if you need it. Busy parents will be glad to hear that the guide is easy to print or save as a PDF to read later, or pass on to others.
