In their latest attempt to erase the progress that the Biden-Harris Administration has made, MAGA extremists alongside the Heritage Foundation released their “to-do list” for the next Republican president: Project 2025.

You may have heard of it already, but in case you haven’t, here’s the gist: Project 2025 is a laundry list of deeply unconstitutional and authoritarian “tasks” for the next Republican president that aim to move our country toward authoritarianism.

Among its top goals? Dismantling the civil service, erasing progress on racial equality and LGBTQ+ rights, imposing extreme restrictions on reproductive freedom and immigration, eliminating climate action, and a complete overhaul of public education -- and that’s just the beginning.

If all of this sounds familiar, it’s because it is: Many of Project 2025’s policies are based heavily on those of former President Donald Trump. Democrats and progressives have been discussing it all over the news and social media, and for good reason: it represents the very real threat that the next extreme MAGA Republican -- Donald Trump or not -- poses to our country.

This is the real deal. If we don’t come together and fight for progress now, we may never be able to again. Project 2025 doesn’t just dismantle the American values that we hold dear -- it dismantles American democracy as we know it altogether.
