Friends,
Reentry is an idea whose time has come. New Jersey has long understood that addiction, incarceration, and a criminal record need not define the entirety of one’s life.
Trauma has tragically been a defining element in the lives of many of our 7,000 program participants. Whether trauma at home, in the streets, or during incarceration, trauma has impacted the lives of many of the people with whom we are privileged to serve.
A sense of despair, darkness, and foreboding danger often fill the lives of our participants. It is often difficult for persons to hope, to write a new life’s story, and to live in sobriety if their past has been a living hell.

This year’s Annual Reentry Conference entitled “From Trauma to Triumph” will feature physicians, physiatrists, advocates, and elected officials.
Please listen to Van Jones' messages inviting you to our 2020 Annual Reentry Conference.

We strongly encourage you to attend to become a better advocate, a better volunteer, and a more informed citizen.
We are inspired by the words of the prophet Isaiah “to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in the darkness out of the prison house” (Isaiah 42:7).
Let all do our share to provide everyone with a Second Chance. See you at the conference!
With gratitude,
Jim
