This week, millions of Americans are gathering with family, friends, neighbors, and loved ones to break bread and spend time reflecting upon God’s bountiful blessings. We give thanks for the opportunity to live in the greatest country in the world, the bonds we share with one another, for our freedoms that make our nation a beacon of hope to the entire world, and so much more. Of course, we must also pause and give thanks for the brave men and women of the armed forces – both at home and abroad – who continue to stand and defend us around the clock. We can agree that Thanksgiving is a day that is emblematic of everything that makes America great.
I remain immensely grateful for the opportunity to serve you in the People’s House, and to fight every single day to safeguard the values and ideals that North Carolinians across our state cherish so much. Indeed, there are some who seek to dismantle what we hold dear, but instead of bending to the mob and choosing to sit idly on the sidelines, I continue to stand firm for the Constitution, our God-given rights, and our way of life. It is the greatest honor of my life to do just that, and it is a solemn responsibility that I continue to uphold without delay or compromise.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
