One week from today, Illinois voters will head to the polls to vote in the Democratic primary.
And while we’re rightly focused on sending President Trump packing and putting a Democrat in the White House, we can’t lose sight of taking back control of the Senate from Mitch McConnell.
Right now, Majority Leader McConnell is blocking nearly 400 bills that have passed in the House, like the anti-corruption For the People Act, the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, universal background checks, action on climate change, raising the minimum wage, and so much more. This kind of unprecedented obstruction is hurting our country -- and it needs to stop. That’s why Dick Durbin is doing everything he can to take back the Senate.
