Give Thanks to God Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Friends, This Thanksgiving we take the time to remember the very first Thanksgiving that took place right here in Plymouth, Massachusetts. We think about the Puritans, their dedication to the God of the Bible and how He provided for them that very first autumn harvest. We remember that God is our provider, our sustenance, and our source of all things. This long-standing American Chistian belief is embedded throughout our very own American culture, but especially during Thanksgiving. The imagery of that very first Thanksgiving feast with the local Native Americans immediately comes to mind. This November as we gather for turkey, pumpkin pie, and all the fixings, as we gather with our loved ones let us offer deep gratitude thanking God for what He has so graciously provided to each of us, our wonderful families and friends and our beloved nation known as America. May you and your families have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
